If your goals is to become like Eddie Hall and become the worlds strongest man then you might see yourself only lifting heavy for years to come. Do not confuse this with ego lifting, you are not trying to move weight so heavy that it only moves an inch. But lift about 80% of your max daily, for all exercises and work yourself up in your sets to your 100% max.
Now on the other hand, if you are going for more of an aesthetic look, like David Laid, you should be looking at rep ranges of about 8-16 and about 3-4 sets. This all varies on your own body and what it is telling you. The most important thing to focus on is that on your last set, you should be struggling so much that you start making weird faces around your last 5 reps. Your last set should also be 85%-95% of your overall max. But make sure you are not doing 100 reps or more on a single exercise, this can cause muscle wear and if trained too much and too hard can cause a muscle tear and no one wants that to happen to them.
